Minister of Health: For a courageous decision to close for two weeks, the situation is no longer tolerable

The Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Dr. Hamad Hassan, announced in an interview with “Voice of Lebanon” radio, the state of the public alarm due to Corona, stressing “the need for a courageous decision to close for two weeks.”

He warned that “we are facing a real challenge,” pointing out that “the numbers recorded in recent times are shocking, and the issue needs strict measures because the situation is no longer tolerable.”

He revealed, “The intensive care beds in governmental and private hospitals in Beirut are full, as for hospitals that do not receive Corona, the army can put its hand on it and oblige it to receive the injured in accordance with the state of emergency imposed in the capital.”
